Food that fuels your community

Like any good recipe, it starts with good ingredients. Our Kitchen Director finds fun and flavourable recipes. We typically try out the recipes first at home and get reviews from our friends and family before bringing them into the Good Food Kitchen. Then our Grocery Coordinator sources our ingredients from local stores and community gardens. Next, our team of talented cooks meet in the kitchen to turn nutritious ingredients into delicious meals. Meals are individually portioned and placed into reheatable containers, that are labelled with ingredient and reheating instructions. Our meals are then delivered to distribution organizations, where they are placed in the freezer and meant to be accessed when needed by the community.

The Good Food Impact starts in the kitchen.

All our ingredients are purchased using funds from donations and grants, and in the harvest months we work with local community gardens to source fresh ingredients.

Our recipes are tested and tweaked, to ensure they freeze properly and that quality is kept after reheating.

Our philosophy is that good food fuels us and that everyone deserves access to good food. Without proper nutrition, we are not prepared to take on the day.
